Backup Camera Adaptor Bumper Kit
Required for JL Wrangler and Protruding Backup Cameras
The Backup Camera Adaptor Bumper Kit is a small spacer that pulls the Freedom Flyer mounting bracket away from your spare tire — just enough to clear a backup camera that extends past the edge of your tire.
Do you need this?
Look at your spare tire from the side. If your backup camera extends past the outer edge of the tire, you need this kit. If it sits flush or recessed, you do not.

- Your camera still works — the fish-eye lens in your backup camera bends light around the Freedom Flyer pole. You retain full camera functionality.
- Now included standard with every M1 order — if you're ordering a new M1 Freedom Flyer, this kit is already in the box.

Will this fit my Freedom Flyer?
Compatibility depends on which Freedom Flyer you own. The Double Add-on Kit and Replacement Poles are designed for the Original (mild steel) Freedom Flyer only — they do not fit the M1. The Backup Camera Adaptor Bumper Kit and Color Armed Forces Plate are compatible with all Freedom Flyer systems. If you're not sure which you own, call Jerry at 919-631-9361 and he'll sort you out.
How does the installation work?
All Freedom Flyer accessories attach using the existing hardware on your Freedom Flyer — no extra tools required. Full assembly instructions and video walkthroughs are on our Instructions page.
How long does shipping take?
The Double Add-on Kit, Replacement Poles, and Backup Camera Adaptor Bumper Kit ship in about 1 week. The Color Armed Forces Plate ships in about 2 weeks. Near Raleigh? Call Jerry at 919-631-9361 to arrange local pickup, tour the shop, and pay in person.
